August 3, 2010: GREENWOOD, BRITISH COLUMBIA – New Nadina Explorations Limited (TSX Venture: NNA) summarizes current exploration activities and plans to commence drilling on August 20th. Please refer to the recent disseminated nine month reports for full information.
We anticipate imminent disclosure via SEDAR and our website of the final JDS Energy & Mining Inc comprehensive report on the Silver Queen property. In addition to five areas of surface diamond drilling of 4,000 meters, further soil sampling and geophysics will be undertaken.
No.3 Vein – NG3 Vein: The area of primary focus will be the NG-3 vein, which is considered to be the faulted-off extension of the No. 3 Vein, to date the most important vein on the property. This vein has been intersected in one underground diamond drill hole (DDH 87U-15) from the extreme south end of the 2600 Level and DDH-NG3, also in a deep surface drill hole where values were intersected 440 meters below surface. The objective on this site is to extend this vein further to the southeast by means of a series of relatively shallow drill holes. The southern portion of the No. 3 Vein we refer to as the “plunge zone” where higher grades have been intersected. Future exploration should be directed down dip in the area of the vein inflection once proven along strike to the south.
Swamp south of NG-3: Veins and faults on this property are typically recessive and occupy gullies and topographic lows. To the south of the NG-3 area, there is a large swampy area with a few scattered drill holes around it, some of which returned interesting results that were never systematically pursued. The elongate shape of the swamp suggests structural control and the occurrence of peripheral mineralized intersections suggests that the underlying structure may also be mineralized; however, no drill holes have directly targeted the swamp. Ground geophysics is proposed to outline the structure more precisely, with further investigation by up to 600 meters of drilling from four locations.
Drainage Ditch: Near the old mill-site, a potentially significant vein was discovered in 1999 during the deepening of a drainage ditch. A grab sample from this vein assayed 27% zinc. An attempt at further trenching in 2005 was unsuccessful due to deep overburden and excessive water although a single grab sample taken assayed 14% zinc. Three to six holes, depending on results, are proposed to investigate this area.
Camp Vein System – North: Drilling in 1987 and 1988 on the Camp Vein system encountered multiple high grade veins. Exploration to the north was discontinued due to an apparent weakening of the system, even though an earlier ground EM survey indicated a through-going anomaly. Three holes preceded by further ground geophysics will test for the faulted-off extension of the Camp Veins.
North Cole: To the northwest of Cole Lake, diamond drill hole NGF-8 drilled in 1970 in an area obscured by overburden returned interesting silver grades but never received any follow-up work. It is believed that these intersections represent an otherwise untested set of veins that may be associated with the Cole Vein and George Lake Lineament. Two holes are proposed to test this area.
